So I have seen these potatoes everywhere!I have been waiting for a chance to make them, and tonight was the perfect night. I made these with grilled steak with mustard cream sauce and a side salad. It was a classic steak and potatoes dinner.
These potatoes were great! I first saw them over at The Pioneer Woman Cooks, she got the recipe from here. I didn’t have any fresh herbs around, and I wasn’t really feeling any of the dried herbs I have, so I just used some seasoned salt.
Crash Hot Potatoes (directions adapted from the Pioneer Woman Cooks)
- New potatoes or any other small round potatoes
- Olive Oil
- Kosher Salt
- Pepper
- Fresh Herbs, whatever you like, chopped
Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes to boiling water and cook until fork tender, about 15 minutes. Generously drizzle a sheet pan with Olive Oil. Remove potatoes from water and place on sheet pan, gently push down on the potatoes with a potato masher. Brush the tops of the potatoes with olive oil, sprinkle with the salt, pepper and herbs.
Bake in a pre-heated 450 degree oven for approx 20 minutes until golden and crispy.
