The first of the recipes from my sisters bridal shower. These crostini were delicious! The combination of tangy blue cheese, crunchy hazelnuts and sweet honey was fantastic. I would highly recommend these for your next gathering, they are sure to be a hit!
Crostini with Blue Cheese, Honey and Hazelnuts
- 12 1/3-inch-thick diagonal baguette slices
- 3 ounces blue cheese, room temperature
- 1/2 cup hazelnuts, toasted (optional) , coarsely chopped
Preheat oven to 400°F. Place baguette slices in single layer on baking sheet. Toast in oven until golden, about 6-8 minutes. (Can be made 4 hours ahead.)
Spread blue cheese on baguette slices. Sprinkle hazelnuts over each. Return to the oven long enough to slightly melt the cheese. Drizzle each slice lightly with honey.
