I have still been baking…

by Melissa on February 2, 2010

Just not in the kitchen! I am so sorry for the lack of updates on this blog, but I promise that I have a very good reason…

Between being pregnant and chasing a very active toddler around, I just have not had the time or energy to dedicate to this blog! I promise to start updating soon, and now that the days are getting longer, I actually have time to get a decent picture before the sun goes down.

Even though I haven’t been blogging, we have still been eating some delicious meals! Here are links to some wonderful recipes from other blogs:

Steak au Poivre from The Way the Cookie Crumbles
Perfect Potatoes au Gratin from The Pioneer Woman
Herb-Rubbed Chicken with Creamy Orzo from Annie’s Eats
Stuffed Pork Tenderloin from Daily Deliciousness
Winter Spinach Salad from Your Home Based Mom
Chicken Parmesan Burgers from Elly Says Opa

Some old favorites that we have been enjoying from this blog:

Sweet and Sour Chicken
Gnocchi with Sausage and Kale
Chicken Taco Soup
Scallops Provencal
Cheesy Baked Tortellini
Cookies- I have been obsessed with cookies lately! I have been using this base recipe but instead of chocolate chips, adding all kinds of yummy mix-ins. My favorite combination so far has been white chocolate chips, toffee bits and chopped pecans, yum!

Thank you so much for sticking with me! I promise, this will not be turning into a baby blog and I will be back very soon with some delicious recipes!

P.S.
I have also been majorly slacking in the blog commenting department. I currently have 1000+ entries to read in my google reader and am seriously contemplating marking them all “as read” and starting fresh. The only reason I haven’t done this is because I am afraid of missing some delicious recipes that I know you have been posting!

Congrats girl!!

When I got married and was away for 10 days, I was so frustrated by all of the google reader entries, that I marked all as read. Go for it…huge weight off the shoulders for sure! :)

Looks like you’re baking something pretty fun! Congrats!

I have done the “mark all as read” multiple times. Yeah, you’ll miss some stuff, but there are just more delicious recipes than there are days to cook!
