We eat a lot of ground turkey in our house, so I am always looking for new and easy ways to prepare it. These turkey meatballs are not only easy, but they are also delicious. The recipe also includes a yummy lime-sesame dipping sauce, and if you have kids, you know they are much more likely to eat anything that comes with dipping sauce!
We had these meatballs with the Asian Couscous Salad that I posted a couple of days ago, and it was a light and delicious dinner.
Asian Turkey Meatballs with Lime Sesame Dipping Sauce
Meatballs:
- 1-1/4 lbs lean ground turkey
- 1/4 cup panko
- 1 egg
- 1 tbsp ginger, minced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 3 scallions, chopped
- 1 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
Dipping Sauce:
- 4 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 chopped fresh scallion
Preheat oven to 450°F.
In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, egg, ginger, garlic, scallions, 1 tbsp soy sauce, and 2 tsp oil and mix until fully incorporated. Shape 1/4 cup meat mixture into a ball and transfer to a lightly oiled baking dish or cookie sheet. Repeat with remaining mixture. Bake until cooked through, about 15 minutes.
To make the dipping sauce, combine soy sauce, sesame oil, lime juice, water and chopped scallions in a small bowl.
Transfer cooked meatballs to a serving dish and drizzle with 1 tablespoon of sauce.
Serve meatballs with remaining sauce for dipping. Makes 12 meatballs.

Turkey meatballs are so good, and so much healthier than beef ones. This recipe sounds great!
These look great! I’ve made burgers with similar ingredients, using ground chicken or pork. Love the flavor combo. This looks like such a delicious and healthy recipe paired with the Asian couscous salad!
Yum! The flavors in this recipe sound delicious!
I’m not a fan of tomato based sauces in meatballs. I love the Asian seasonings in this recipe. Thanks, can’t wait to try this!
